I'm not sure I understand how people can make jokes at their own expense after going through something like t Thank you for the flowers, everyone. They brightened up the room a little a lot, it was a very nice gesture to wake up to.

KATE.
I understand you agreed to cover my classes during my recovery. Thank you, Kate, I appreciate your time and effort. The notes should be easy enough to follow, but honestly, it isn't a difficult class to begin with. I have no doubt that you'll get on just fine. Please let me know if you need anything in the meantime.

It's not a big deal, I used to teach something similar before I left and they realized I wasn't fit for the job anyway.

That is what they say. I have yet to see whether or not it actually works though.

Thank you, Molly. From what I've been told, I have you to thank for my being alive. Saying thank you in text doesn't quite convey my gratitude, but rest assured I will never forget that.

As far as I'm aware Nico has him in one of his pockets. Rogue isn't too happy about it. I still can't believe Loga

I see. Does she have some sort of special attachment to him, or is it just a matter of principle?

It certainly made waking up in a hospital room a lot easier to deal with. I'll have to thank her when I see her next.

So what do you think of Xavier's so far? Not quite what you expected, I'll bet?.

To be perfectly honest? I'm pretty sure I'm still in shock about what just happened, but I think I really get it now. Why the school exists, I mean. I sort of thought of it as a training camp with a side of academics before I got here and I just figured I wouldn't have much to do with the training. I didn't realize how intense things could get. Now it's really clear to me how important it is to have people here who are trained to help other mutants. We're kind of at the eye of the storm -- the safest and most dangerous place all at the same time.

Does that make any sense?

That does make sense. Perfect sense, actually. I'll admit I forget that myself sometimes, but I just have to walk through the halls and take a look around to remind myself. It's important to keep that in mind, whatever happens. Sometimes it's easier said than done.

Hopefully that made sense.

I heard that you were sliced up pretty badly. That fear is hard to shake afterwards, isn't it? I'm still feeling it.

That's one way of p You heard right. I've been here for a while now, and I think I can safely say that's the worst experience I've had since returning to the school. I don't blame you for the fear, I'm still feeling it myself, and I should be used to it by now.

How did you fare in the fight? I haven't heard what happened to everyone else yet.
